Twilight Saga

Ahhh. Another day, another blog. Brilliant! So here I go:

Okay. So I admit, I was a little late jumping on the bagwagon. Perhaps more than a little late. But that's not the point. I used to hate Twilight, and Stephanie Meyer for that matter. Why? you ask- well you probably don't, but I'll answer it anyway- because there was so much friggin' fuss over it. What was so good about it, i always refuse to give it ago and used to shudder just at the mention of the 'T' word.

And then, on day. I was desperate for something to read. And when I say desperate, I mean really, really desperate. I was at the library, glaring at the rows and rows of books that I had already read a million times before. I saw the books under the "M" section. And then I saw it. Sitting there, looking at me, daring me to pick it up, borrow it, and read it. It wasn't the version with the apple. It was the cover with Bella and Edward on it. *shudders, robert pattinson* So I picked it up and scanned the blurb. mhmm. Yeah, Forks, new girl, Edward, vampire, love. Yeah, yeah. I get it. It was no big secret that I hated Twilight and whenever the subject was mentioned, that was my chance to diss it as much I could.

So naturally, when my mum saw which book was in my hand, she was shocked. Okay, maybe shocked was a bit of an understatment. hm. I need a better word. Hang on a sec, let me just look it up on http://thesaurus.com/.

Right. Surprised? Staggered? Startled? Astounded? Amazed? Stunned? Flabbergasted. Yeah, I think that's the right word. it'll do, it's close enough. She read the whole Saga, and enjoyed it. So, I asked her:
"Hey, mum. Theres nothing else here to read, do you think I should give it  ago?" I don't exactly remember her response, but I'm sure she said something like:
"Uhh...Um, yeah. Sure, you never know till you've tried it." Well. Anyhow, I borrowed it. And I read it. And I loved it. I read the whole series within a week or so, even with school and homework. That reminds me, I still have to write a proper reveiw for it, I'm sure I'll get around to it...sometime.

But, that's not what this post is for. Like I said, i was a little late with the all the Twilight stuff. So I never saw Eclipse at the actual movies, I had to hire it from the video shop. I watched it last night and I am still digesting the fact that Robert Pattinson played Edward Cullen. I mean, gosh. It still amazes me. Unfortunatley for me I read Twilight after I had actually seen the movie. Well no, I hadn't exactly seen it, just a couple of scenes from ads, books, posters and so on. I kept picturing Edward as Robert Pattinson. I couldn't seem to rid my mind of that image...urgh. The same with Bella and so on.

Thats another thing I want to talk about, Bella. Okay, okay. I know she's whiny and stuff. But- honestly- I don't mind her as much as I know a lot of people hate her guts. But seriously, she went through  lots of horrible stuff in her life..errr, existance? i think thats a better word, don't you think? I mean, come on guys, give her some credit, please! She's not completely useless. Well, she can be stupid sometimes.

But I think that's enough rambling for now. I think I might post another thingy tonight if I can find some time. I am lacking something to read at  the moment, so most likley I will post something else.
See you all for now!

  1. Well, if you like the book and, therefore, like the plot and the story, you will love the film because Chris Weitz is true to the book beyond what I could have imagined or hoped for. This movie felt like it was made for the fans, so I can understand that if you're not a fan of the series how it may feel like a laboured effort to watch "New Moon". But if you love Bella and Edward **and even Jacob--Taylor Lautner was FANTASTIC in this!**, you will leave wanting more!
